Movipack
- Vibration Predictive Maintenance Meter

OVERVIEW
For more than 10 years 01dB has designed and
distributed portable systems devoted to vibration measurements in
industrial surroundings.
Each generation has come up with new functions
based on the latest technologies. Once
again, all innovations and elements necessary for the optimum
maintenance analysis of rotating machinery have been incorporated in a
novel, ergonomic volume:
 | 2
vibration channels |
 | 1
trigger input |
 | incorporated
temperature measurement |
 | built-in
tachometer |
 | measurement
point recognition |
 | 32

Movipack’s numerous functions range
from the mere control of vibration levels to the most sophisticated
diagnoses:
 | Data collector |
 | Balancer |
 | 2-channel analyser |
 | Digital recorder |
 | Order analysis |
Movipack is thus the ideal instrument
to control, maintain and optimise the performances of your production
machines.

Movipack
was designed as a user-friendly instrument:
 | Compact and light case |
 | Single-hand operating (left or right) |
 | Intuitive user interface using icons |
 | Online help |
 | Speediness |
 | Integrated contactless laser-sighting sensors for rotation speed
and temperature measurements, no external accessory connection
needed. |
 | Automatic identification procedure of the measurement point by
remote reading of electronic labels, avoiding any positioning error
of the sensor (time measurement is then reduced). Optimum
safety for operating in severe environments. |
Movipack
is also adapted to extreme conditions encountered in chemical and
petrochemical industry, iron and steel industry, paper industry, cement
works, etc.:
 | IP65

With this version, measurement and diagnosis can be
performed directly on the instrument: overall level control, time and
spectrum analysis. The two-channel option offers numerous other
functions, such as orbit analysis for journal bearing machines and
transfer function for the characterisation of mechanical resonances.
Measurement data may be processed on a PC using the vib-Graph
software.

This optional module is used to correct balancing
defects on simple and complex machines.
 | From

Using Movipack’s two-channel
option, parallel measurements on 2 sensors are possible, resulting in a
faster, safer and more accurate procedure.

In Basic Collector (Overall level) version,
or in Expert Collector (Overall level + Spectrum + Time) version,
Movipack is a performing tool to collect data associated
with a Predictive Maintenance software.
With its integrated sensors (laser sighting pyrometer and
tachometer, automatic identification of the measurement point), only one
cable (that of the vibration transducer) is required to identify the
measurement point and measure the data characterising the performance of
your machines (vibration, rotation speed, temperature).
 | Compactness |
 | Speediness |

 | Multimedia
comments (sound) using a microphone (option) |
 | “Review”
function to analyse measurement data directly on the instrument |
 | Additional
measurements / measurement triggered on alarm for the acquisition of
additional data, such as spectrum or long time analysis, on a
specific event. |

Movipack’s optional order analysis
module is used to measure the vibration behaviour of a machine during
its start-up and shutdown phases. During
these phases, the machine structure is excited by internal mechanical
forces at frequencies that do not exist in stationary mode.
This type of analysis is used to detect phenomena that are not
easily observed in steady state mode: resonance, critical speed, bearing
instability, etc.
The two-channel option also provides access
to the orbit plot for a bearing equipped with two sensors that are 90° apart.
After download of the data on a PC, more
detailed reports can be generated using complementary tools (Bode,
Nyquist, Cascade, orbit, etc.)

This option increases the time wave acquisition
capacity to ranges of signals reaching up to 512K samples.
This extension may be used either in analyser or in
collector mode.

Movipack contains two built-in contactless
laser-sighting sensors that allow, without any additional accessories,
to complement data collections with temperature (pyrometry) and rotation
speed (tachometry) measurements. Since
they usually require handling external accessories, these measurements
are often neglected although they provide a better knowledge of the
machines.
Remark: Class 2 laser instrument, wavelength:
630-680 nm, max. power: 1mW according NF EN 60825-1.
Identification of measurement point
Each bearing (or machine) equipped with an
electronic label remotely provides its code.
You just need to bring Movipack a few centimetres
away from the bearing and press the reading key.
Upon reading of the code, Movipack automatically
selects the corresponding point, and is ready to start acquisition.
This method ensures reliable and faster measurements (no more
inversion of measurement points).
