OVERVIEW
The SVAN 945A is all digital, Type 1 sound level meter (SLM) and analyser. It is intended to general acoustic measurements, environmental noise monitoring, occupational health and safety monitoring.
Using computational power of its digital signal processor the SVAN 945A can perform real time 1/1 & 1/3 octave analysis including statistical calculations. All weighting filters, required by standards (A, C, Lin (Z) and G), are available with this instrument.
Three acoustic profiles can be measured in parallel with independently defined filters and RMS detectors time constants (concurrent Impulse, Fast and Slow measurements are possible). Time history for all profiles could be recorded in the memory buffer. The sound loudness and tonality can also be measured (as an option). The high resolution FFT and pure tone detection options further extend the capabilities of this unit.
Fast USB 1.1 interface (12MHz) creates real time link for the application of the SVAN 945A as a PC "front-end".
Measurement results can be stored in large (8, 16 or 32 MB), non-volatile memory and easy downloaded to any PC using USB 1.1 or RS 232 interface and SvanPC software.
Thanks to built in rechargeable battery and robust, lightweight construction, the SVAN 945A can be used in hard environmental conditions over the work day.
